Because we are God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved – we are to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Furthermore we are to bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven us, so we also must forgive. Above all, we are to clothe ourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony (adapted Colossians 3:12-14).

But how do we clothe ourselves in such ways?

We are compelled to respond to the Holy Spirit’s call to be in authentic relationships. It is through these relationships that we build trust in the community, lean on each other in times of stress and loss, and celebrate life together in Christ. It is through deep authentic relationships that we find support, encouragement and accountability.
