	Goal of Ministry The goal is to “adopt” families living in poverty by providing them with food for a festive dinner and gifts for their children at Christmas. When and How? Right before Thanksgiving a tree is set up in the narthex covered with paper ornaments that hold the names and gift requests of children or food items. Some ornaments also help purchase gift cards for the families. Donations of food and wrapped gifts with the ornaments attached are returned to church before a designated date. The quilters, Patchwork of Love, contribute a quilt for each family. Who is Served We serve families who are most in need from Family Services. We help approximately 8 families with about 20 children. Delivery Volunteers are needed every year to deliver to the families. This usually takes place the weekend before Christmas Day.
